President Biya has recorded another huge break through in his fight against the Ambazonia separatists. First it was the arrest and extradition of Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and co. This time weapons (worth billions of Francs CFA) allegedly ordered by the Cameroon separatists was intercepted at the SFax port; a sea port in Tunisia.

This is how the event unfolded….

On Friday the 16th of February, 2018, the Tunisian custom officials intercepted a 107 metre long vessel, called “The Ural” and registered under the Panamanian flag. According to reports from ship tracking websites and the Tunisia Media, the vessel was on its way from Novorossiysk in Russia to Douala, Cameroon, when it was forced to call on Sfax port, Tunisia due to mechanical failure.

The ship was then searched by the Sfax custom officials and was found to be carrying military trucks, armored personnel carriers and other equipment meant for military camps. Also on board were “24” containers whose content was not declared, and which were also suspected of containing powerful weapons and ammunition.

The Tunisian Custom General Directorate said the 24 containers will be searched in Sfax, Tunisia and …. in my opinion, the 24 containers must have been searched by now as today makes a week since the vessel was intercepted in Tunisia.

It should be noted that Biya,s government haven,t claimed ownership over the military equipments and ammunition intercepted  in Sfax, Tunisia on the 17th of February and due to that, many accusing fingers have been pointing towards the Cameroon separatists group called Ambazonia; which is currently fighting to secede from LRC.

One of the greatest problem that is faced by the Ambazonia self defense groups is “lack of ammunition”. Most of the Ambazonia fighters are using dane guns and trophies seized from the LRC soldiers and security personnel; whom they have slaughtered in battle.

Millions of dollars was contributed by the Ambazonians via the GoFundMe platform for the Amba IG to buy powerful military equipment and Ammunition; which according to popular opinion, are those which have been intercepted by the Tunisian custom officials. The intercepted military consignment worth billions of frs CFA. This is indeed a big loss to the Ambazonians and a huge break through for president Biya.
