Wondering how to create a PayPal account in Uganda??? If yes, then this article was specifically written for you. In this article, I’m going to show you how to get a PayPal account in Uganda that you can use to send payment for products and services (… and also receive money through PayPal in Uganda).

Before delving in to the main topic, let me start by explaining what PayPal is all about for the benefit of the people who are hearing about PayPal for the first time.

What is a PayPal Uganda ???

PayPal Uganda is a website or an App that makes it possible for the credit card holders in Uganda to shop online safely without exposing their credit card details (financial info) to the bad guys (unscrupulous online merchants and the hackers).

PayPal also makes it possible for the online shop owners, internet entrepreneurs, online marketers, online job freelancers in Uganda etc to receive payments (for their products and services) from customers/clients around the world.

The PayPal service also makes it possible for individuals, churches, NGO’s in Uganda to receive cash gifts/donations from loved ones/people around the world.

As of February, 2021, about 60% of the eCommerce websites (online businesses) accept payment via PayPal and most people around the world prefer issuing payment online via PayPal.

PayPal currently has more than 240 million active users around the world.

One of the reasons why PayPal has become the standard payment app for online transactions, is because the app protects both buyers and sellers against fraud. In other words, if you regularly use PayPal to receive and send payments, there’s zero chances that you will be defrauded by anyone thanks to the tight anti-fraud security system put in place by PayPal.

PayPal can reimburse you (refund your money) if something’s not right i.e. if you paid for a product and the seller didn’t deliver the product/your order doesn’t arrive or isn’t as the seller described, PayPal can help you get your money back from the seller. Unlike Western Union, WorldRemit, Money Gram etc where your money is non-retrievable after payment has been issued to a scammer.

Summarily, PayPal is an App that enables anyone to shop online with peace of mind as it serves as a middleman between the buyers and the sellers to ensure that there’s no cheating or fraud… and also ensures that the hackers and unscrupulous online merchants don’t set eyes on your credit card details (financial info).

With just one PayPal account, you can shop at millions of merchants around the world, and send payment for goods or services almost anywhere. You can also use any of your devices to manage your PayPal Uganda account on the go with the PayPal app.

It’s free to open a personal PayPal account and buy something using PayPal unless it involves a currency conversion.

Is PayPal Available in Uganda???

This is a question i get asked almost everyday.

Yes, PayPal is available in Uganda. In other words Ugandans can create a PayPal account on the PayPal website. However, there is a limitation associated with the PayPal Uganda account that you need to be aware of before opening a PayPal account in Uganda.

The personal PayPal account that Ugandans can create on the PayPal Uganda website (https://www.paypal.com/ug), is restricted to payment only i.e. you can only use your Personal PayPal Uganda account to send money to your loved ones who have a PayPal account (that can receive money) and also make purchases online but can’t receive money with a personal PayPal Uganda account.

If you need a PayPal account in Uganda, that receives MONEY/PAYMENTS and permits withdrawal of funds, then you will need to get a foreign PayPal account.

For those of you who don’t know….

There are two types of PayPal accounts which Ugandans can create (sign up for) on the PayPal website.

The two PayPal accounts include;

1) The Personal Paypal Uganda account and…

2) The Foreign Paypal account

1) The personal PayPal Uganda account; which is the most common PayPal account (which anyone in Uganda can easily create on the PayPal Uganda website) has only one use i.e. it can only be used to do online payments.

No receiving or money or withdrawal of funds is allowed for the personal PayPal Uganda accounts.

In other words, the internet entrepreneurs in Uganda can’t receive payment/money with a personal PayPal Uganda account talk less of withdrawing money.

When you have a PayPal Uganda account that can’t receive Payments/money, any company or individual who tries to send money to your PayPal Uganda account will be shown the type of message seen in the screen-shot below.

Paypal Uganda accounts doesn’t store funds. It can only be used by Ugandans to do online payments ONLY and nothing else.

So if you are one of the online shopaholics in Uganda who often buy stuffs online with their debit or prepaid card, a personal PayPal Uganda account will be of great benefit to you as it will enable you to shop online without exposing your credit card details.

So if you are just on the buying end, then the PayPal Uganda platform was specifically created for you. The only thing you need, to start shopping online with your personal PayPal Uganda account, is a Debit/Credit card from a local Bank to link to your PayPal Uganda Account. After you have linked a card to your personal PayPal Uganda account, you can start shopping online with peace of mind.

How PayPal Protects Uganda Online Shoppers (credit card holders) against fraud and theft.

Before the creation of PayPal, the credit card payment type was the sole payment option in most online shops.

To purchase a product from any online shop via the credit card option, customers had to enter their credit card details  (Name on card, credit card numbers, the expiry date of their card, and the 3 digit CVV code of their credit card) in order to issue payment.

This method of issuing payment online (by entering credit card details on the eCommerce websites), caused the credit card info of many online shoppers to get exposed to the hackers (who later sell the credit card details on the black market).

It should be noted that anybody (in any part of the world) who knows your credit card number, Name on card, its expiry date and the 3 digit CVV security code of your credit card, can shop online with the funds in your prepaid card or debit card without your consent hence its very important that you conceal your credit card information from the bad guys (who are working tirelessly day and night to steal it).

Prior to the creation of PayPal, it was very common to hear news about huge sums of money disappearing from people’s credit cards in Uganda because their credit cards got compromised after making an online purchase.

Now with the availability of the PayPal service in Uganda, the credit card holders in Uganda can now shop online with peace of mind. The PayPal Payment option makes it possible for credit card holders in Uganda, to shop online by entering just their PayPal email and password on the PayPal website.

Simply put, when issuing payment via PayPal, final payment is done on the PayPal website and not on the merchant’s website.

PayPal acts as a middle man between the buyer and the seller; ensuring there’s no cheating or fraud in an online transaction and also make sure that the online merchants doesn’t view the credit card details of the online shoppers. So after you have created your PayPal Uganda account, you will be able to buy from any online store without any fear that your credit card details might be stolen (pay without exposing your card numbers to the seller).

In other words after you have created your PayPal account, you don’t need to skeptical about the credibility of an online store. Just select the PayPal payment option and leave the rest to PayPal.

Like i mentioned earlier, PayPal can reimburse you if something’s not right i.e. if your order doesn’t arrive or isn’t as the seller described, PayPal can help you get your money back from the seller. Unlike Western Union, WorldRemit, Money Gram etc where your money is non-retrievable after payment has been issued.

Nowadays almost every E-Commerce website (big or small) accept Payment through PayPal. You don’t need to stress yourself carrying out researches to find out if a particular website you wish to buy from is fake or credible before buying from a particular online shop. If the online shop accepts PayPal, go ahead and issue payment. If the seller doesn’t deliver the product, simply open a case against seller on PayPal and PayPal will refund your money.

In my opinion, PayPal is the safest online payment method as there’s zero chances that your credit card details will get exposed to the hackers and PayPal can also reimburse your money in case a seller doesn’t deliver a product or you are not satisfied with the product (i.e. product arrived damaged or isn’t as the seller described).

How PayPal Works in Uganda???

The service rendered by PayPal to the PayPal users in Uganda is simply a credit card protection service.

PayPal makes it possible for the credit card holders in Uganda to safely make online payments without revealing their credit card details (credit card numbers, expiry date $ CVV code) to the online shop owners thereby preventing our credit cards from getting hacked.

To buy any product or pay for a service online using PayPal, you just need to enter your PayPal email and password instead of entering your credit card details (financial info); which might get exposed to a hacker.

In other words when shopping online via PayPal,  only PayPal will be able to view your credit card details and PayPal won’t share your full financial information with sellers.

Like i mentioned earlier, PayPal acts as a middleman between the buyer and the seller i.e. when you choose PayPal as your payment method, check out takes place on the PayPal official website and not on the online merchant’s website.

After you have entered your PayPal email and password on the PayPal website, PayPal will collect funds from the credit card which is linked to your personal PayPal Uganda account and do the payment on your behalf without exposing your credit card details to the online merchants.

Requirements for creating a Personal PayPal Uganda account.

The only requirements for creating a personal PayPal Uganda account is a credit card i.e. to able to create a fully functional PayPal account in Uganda, you will need a prepaid card or a debit card; which you are going to link to your personal PayPal Uganda account.

Like i mentioned earlier, PayPal is just an App or a website which primarily conceals your credit card details when shopping online hence without a credit card, there won’t be any need for you to create a PayPal account… and without linking a prepaid card or debit card to your PayPal account, you won’t be able to shop online with your PayPal account.

How to get a PayPal Card in Uganda

PayPal accepts almost all the debit and prepaid Visa/Mastercard issued by the banks in Uganda.

However, the most recommended PayPal card in Uganda is the UBA Africard; a prepaid card issued by the UBA bank.

If you don’t have credit card, go to the UBA bank in your city and apply for the UBA Africard.

One of the reasons why the UBA Africard prepaid card is currently the most popular PayPal card in Uganda is because it doesn’t cost much to get a UBA Africard from the UBA bank cuz you don’t need to open a bank account with the UBA bank for you to be issued the UBA Africard.

In addition to that, the UBA Africard is issued instantly i.e. after applying for the UBA Africard, UBA will handover your card. So if you need a PayPal card in Uganda, go to the UBA bank and get the UBA Africard.

If you need more information about the UBA Africard, send me a message on WhatsApp.

How to use PayPal in Uganda

1) Create a free personal PayPal account on the PayPal Uganda website (https://www.paypal.com/ug) and sign up.

2) After you’ve created your PayPal account, verify your PayPal Uganda account by linking a debit/credit card to your PayPal Uganda account.

After you have added your card to your PayPal account, you can now start shopping online.

3) To shop online via PayPal, you just need to visit any online shop which accepts payments via PayPal. From the list of payment options, select PayPal and then click on the “buy” button…and you will be taken to the PayPal website.

On the PayPal website you just need to enter your PayPal email and password… and PayPal will collect funds from the credit card which is linked to your PayPal Uganda account and do the payment on your behalf without exposing your credit card info to the online merchants.

After payment has been completed you will be redirected back to the merchant website.

4) After issuing payment, you will receive an confirmation email from PayPal confirming that payment has been issued successfully. After issuing payment, you just need to wait for the product to be delivered. If your order doesn’t arrive or isn’t as the seller described, PayPal can help you get your money back from the seller without any headache. Unlike Western Union, WorldRemit, Money Gram etc where your money is non-retrievable after payment has been issued.

Even though PayPal doesn’t permit the PayPal users in Uganda to receive/withdraw money from their personal PayPal Uganda accounts, their service is still indispensable to every credit card holder in Uganda (especially the debit card holders; whose cards are linked to their local bank accounts).

The second type of PayPal account which I’m going to introduce you to, is the FOREIGN PAYPAL ACCOUNT.

2) The Foreign Paypal account (Business Uganda Paypal accounts)

Unlike the restricted personal PayPal Uganda accounts (that only sends money and don’t receive funds), Ugandans with a Foreign PayPal Accounts can receive payments/money and also transfer money from their PayPal accounts to their Ugandan bank accounts OR any PayPal compatible prepaid cards issued by the PayPal banks in Uganda.

Somebody may likely want to ask; What is a foreign Paypal account???.

A foreign PayPal account is a PayPal account created by a Ugandan on the PayPal website of another country (from Uganda).

It should be noted that PayPal has created specialized/localized websites (platforms) to suit the needs of all the PayPal supported countries. For example, there is a PayPal Cameroon website (paypal.cm) for the Cameroonians, PayPal Nigeria website (paypal.ng) for the Nigerians, PayPal South Africa website for the South Africans, PayPal USA for the US citizens and so on… Ugandans can create a PayPal account on the PayPal Ugandan website, Cameroonians can create a PayPal account on the PayPal Cameroon website (paypal.cm), Nigerians can create a PayPal account on the Paypal Nigeria website (paypal.ng), South Africans can create a PayPal account on the PayPal South Africa website and so on.

If a Ugandan internet entrepreneur (living in Uganda) creates a PayPal account on the PayPal website of another country (US PayPal), that PayPal account will be labelled a foreign PayPal account (just like some of our ministers have foreign bank accounts in USA, England etc). The same rule also applies with PayPal accounts.

PayPal has assigned different privileges and restrictions to the Paypal websites of the PayPal supported countries depending on the internet browsing record of the citizens of a particular country.

Many Ugandans often ask; CAN I WITHDRAW MONEY FROM MY PAYPAL UGANDA ACCOUNT??? If you have a Personal Uganda PayPal account that doesn’t receive money, this means you can’t withdraw. In fact, you can’t withdraw if you can’t receive because you will have nothing to withdraw.

Only a Paypal account that receives money, permits withdrawal of funds. To cut a long story short, to be able to receive money in Uganda through Paypal, you will need to create a Paypal account in a Paypal supported country; where it is possible to receive money.

Like seriously??? Yes!, its possible for an entrepreneur residing in Ugandan to create a Paypal Account on a Paypal site dedicated to another Country over here in Uganda. It doesn’t go against PayPal policy.

How does this work???

In a previous article i wrote about PayPal withdrawal, i mentioned that, to successfully create a foreign Paypal account on the PayPal website of another country, you will need to ask a family member, relative or friend residing in that country, to help you to create the foreign PayPal account because of PayPal SMS verification hindrance.

To create a Paypal account in some PayPal supported countries , PayPal will sometimes ask you to confirm your address, by sending a verification SMS to your phone number. If you are not living in the foreign country (have a foreign/international phone number), there will be no way you can receive the verification SMS from PayPal hence you will need the help of a family member, relative or friend living in the foreign country who can assist you to create a verified PayPal account in that PayPal supported country.

However after carrying out an in-depth research on the PayPal Uganda receiving issue, i later found out that internet entrepreneurs (living in Uganda) can successfully create a verified and fully functional foreign PayPal account (that receives money and allow withdrawal) in some PayPal supported countries using their valid Ugandan phone numbers, address and legal full name.

In July, 2019, i successfully created a verified foreign Paypal account from Uganda (by myself). I have been using my verified foreign Paypal account to receive payments in my Ebay dropping shipping business. I’m also using the Foreign Paypal account to receive payments from affiliate programs which pays through PayPal and from Fiverr. I have also created foreign Paypal accounts for some of my fellow internet entrepreneurs in Uganda.

If you are a doubting Thomas, read the article titled How to get a Paypal Account to do Ebay Dropshipping from Uganda. In that article, i provided screenshots which shows a payment i received via Paypal for an item i sold on Ebay and how i successfully transferred the money from my Foreign Paypal account to my UBA Africard prepaid visa card (also known as UBA Africard).

Somebody may likely want to ask, how do i get a Foreign PayPal account??? Contrary to your expectation, i won’t reveal how i created my fully functional foreign PayPal account.

However i can create a foreign Paypal account for you, for just $50. If you think that amount is too big, you are free to experiment like me (be prepared to lose money). After i have created your foreign Paypal account (which will cost you $50 for the service), i will give you rules which you need to follow in order to avoid getting banned by Paypal.

So even if you succeed in creating a fully functional foreign paypal account (after watching Youtube videos), but don’t know these rules, you will still end up losing your foreign Paypal account and all the funds in it. In case you don’t know, PayPal is a very sensitive platform. Any a little mistake you make, restrictions will be placed on your PayPal account or your account might be deleted to ensure the safety of Paypal users.

If your Paypal account is restricted, it means that you won’t be able to do certain things with your PayPal account, for example, sending or withdrawing money. Usually, PayPal will ask you to complete one or more tasks to remove the account restriction (like uploading the photo of your National ID or passport).

$50 can save you lots of money. Its should noted that I didn’t use any VPN or IP address, to create my Foreign Paypal account from Uganda and i don’t use a VPN/IP address in order to log in to my foreign Paypal account from Uganda. If you are interested, contact me via WhatsApp and let’s discuss.

If you are still not convinced that its possible to get a foreign PayPal account and need evidence, we can meet somewhere, so that i can provide more evidence. I will log in to my Foreign Paypal account and show you my Paypal transactions. Contact me on Whatsapp.

How do i go about it???

Follow the simple instructions below…

1) Contact me via Whatsapp After getting in touch with me, you will be required to answer a series of questions. The questions are centered around the purpose for which you need a Paypal account.

If you don’t provide a genuine reason why you need a foreign PayPal account or if i figure out that you intend to use your Paypal account for a fraudulent purpose ,i will not create a foreign Paypal account for you, even if you offer me $5000.

2) If the purpose for which you need a foreign Paypal account is genuine, you will be required to provide the following details for me to create your foreign Paypal account.

*** Your Legal Full name (in the right order, as found on your National Identity card or Passport).

*** Date of Birth

*** ID Card Number

*** Your Business name/brand

*** Niche or type of Online business

*** Billing Address

*** An active Uganda Phone number for SMS verification (No International Number is needed)

*** A active email Address which you have access to (it is advisable to create a new Email account for Paypal).

All the above information must be genuine, especially your phone number, Address and name ( it should appear as written on your National ID).

It should be noted that the method which i’m going to use to create your foreign Paypal account is 100% genuine and falls inline with Paypal Policies. So don’t think i’m going to hack Paypal or use a special trick in order to create you a Foreign Paypal account from Uganda.

Like i mentioned earlier, i won’t even use a VPN to create the Foreign Paypal account and you don’t need a VPN to even access the account.

One reason why its advisable to provide legal/genuine information about yourself, is because, when something goes wrong, Paypal may ask you to send them a photo of your National ID card and if the info on your national ID (like your name and address) doesn’t match the one in your Foreign Paypal account, Paypal will restrict you from receiving payments/money and from withdrawing the available funds in your foreign Paypal account balance until 180 days have elapsed. I’m speaking from personal experience.

A valid phone number is also important because it will be used to verify your identity should you lose your password. So there is absolutely no need for you to hide your identity, tweak your address, etc. In fact, what you need to keep at the back of your mind is that, the legality of your Paypal account is in your hands. If you give me fake information, you will have yourself to blame if something goes wrong in future.

Paypal is a no nonsense platform… unlike Facebook; where you can easily create Fake accounts.

3) Schedule a time you will be online. I can’t create a PayPal account for you without your assistance. In the course of creating your PayPal account, Paypal will send verification codes to your Ugandan phone number to confirm your address. Paypal will also send a confirmation message to your email. So we need to work hand in hand, to create your foreign Paypal account.

4) Issue payment for my service I accept payment for my service via MTN Mobile. My MoMo number will be provided, after your Paypal account has been created.

5) Link a prepaid card to your foreign Paypal account. After your Paypal account has been created, you will be expected to link a PayPal compatible prepaid card to your Paypal account to withdraw funds from your foreign PayPal account. If you don’t have a prepaid card yet, no worries!!. That won’t prevent you from receiving payments/money. You will only need a prepaid card to withdraw money from your Paypal account.

What are you waiting for???? contact me and get your foreign Paypal account and start receiving payments from your clients and customers around the world.

How to receive Payments in Uganda via Paypal

Its very easy to receive payments via Paypal in Uganda using your foreign Paypal account. To receive payment from a customer or client, all you need to do, is to give your PayPal email address to anybody who wish to send you money.

Yes! just like that. To receive payment from an online company or an individual, you just need to provide your Paypal email address to the sender, the sender will then use your PayPal email address to transfer money in to your PayPal account. Yes ! Just like that.

You can also use your Paypal email to receive donations, payment from affiliate programs, online freelance job websites, survey websites and other platforms which pays via Paypal.

If you are running a Shopify, WooCommerce wordpress powered online shop, you just need to add PayPal as one of the payment options. In your shopify and Woocommerce payment settings, enter your Paypal email and save the setting. You are now ready to receive payment for your products or services via Paypal.

IMPORTANT ADVICE!

When using Paypal to receive payments for your products or services, always ensure that a service is rendered to the satisfaction of a client or sell quality products because if a client/customer is not satisfied with your product or service, he or she may file a complaint to Paypal and Paypal will reverse the payment i.e. in other words, their money will be refunded.

As a seller, always ship a product and ensure that a tracking number is added to the Paypal transaction detail. This is to ensure that, in a case of a dispute, the tracking number will prove to PayPal that you shipped a product to the customer and this will prevent PayPal from reversing a payment.

It should be noted that if many PayPal users keep filing a complain against you for one issue or the other, PayPal may suspend your account. To cut a long story short, you just need to bear in mind that Paypal was created for the serious and credible online merchants and not for the fraudsters and time wasters. Google and read more about Paypal policies.

Frequently Asked Questions about PayPal in Uganda.

Is the Foreign Paypal Account 100% legal or authentic ???

Yes!, Like i mentioned earlier, the method which i’m going to use to create your foreign Paypal account is 100% genuine and falls inline with Paypal account Policies. So don’t think i’m going to hack Paypal or use a special trick in order to create you a Foreign Paypal account from Uganda.

Like i said earlier, i won’t even use a VPN to create the Foreign Paypal account and you don’t need a VPN to even access the account. I and my internet entrepreneur friends have been using our Foreign Paypal accounts to receive payments since 2019 without experiencing any issues.

To access your foreign Paypal account, just type Paypal.com in to your browser and login.

I have also downloaded the Paypal Uganda app on my android phone which has saved me from the hassle of logging in to my Paypal account every time i want to check my Paypal account balance or withdraw.

Like i mentioned earlier, the legality of your Paypal account lies in your hands. If you use your Paypal account for fraudulent purpose, Paypal will restrict your account and confiscate your funds. If the information you use in creating your foreign Paypal account is genuine and you don’t have any intention of using your Foreign Paypal account for a fraudulent purpose, then you have absolutely no reason to be worried.

Listen! Paypal doesn’t care about your Location, all they want is PayPal users who are trustworthy.

In October, 2019, PayPal, restricted my PayPal account after i received more than $500 from a client. They asked me to send a photo of my National ID for the restriction to be uplifted. I did and within 24 hours the restriction was uplifted and i continued using my Paypal account.

So Paypal is aware that i am in Uganda. As long as my transactions are not fraudulent, they have no reason to stop me from using my foreign Paypal account. So the legality of your foreign Paypal account lies in your hand.

Take note: The number 1 thing that can cause Paypal to easily place a restriction on your Foreign Paypal account, is by logging to your paypal account using a VPN or foreign IP address. This will trigger an alarm in the PayPal system that you are trying to do something fishy. Never give your paypal email and password (to anybody outside of Uganda) to log in to your account for any reason.

If somebody in another country logs in to your Paypal account, Paypal will assume that a hacker has gained access in to your account. This will cause them to immediately place a receiving and withdrawal restriction on your Paypal account. The restrictions will only be uplifted after you have uploaded a photo of your valid National ID.

Won’t my Foreign PayPal account be blocked if PayPal eventually find out that i am in Uganda???

Listen my dear, PayPal has no problem with your location. What PayPal is concerned about, is the purpose for which you are using your PayPal account. If you are a fraudster, your PayPal account will be blocked in no time irrespective of your location. That’s why I mentioned in the post that I don’t create PayPal account for the fraudsters in Uganda even if they are willing to offer me $50,000.

Is PayPal available in Uganda?

I have already answered this question.

Yes, Paypal is currently available in Uganda. Like i mentioned earlier, for you to be able to receive money through PayPal in Uganda, you will need a Foreign Paypal account; which you can get today for just $50.

How do I get a Foreign PayPal account in Uganda?

Like i mentioned earlier, to get a foreign PayPal account in Uganda (that receives money), you will need to create a new account via another country’s PayPal platform which doesn’t have receiving restriction.

If you don’t want to waste lots of money via trials and error, you can hire me to do the job for just $50.

Within 30 minutes, your foreign PayPal account will be ready.

How do I withdraw money from PayPal in Uganda?

To withdraw money from your foreign PayPal account in Uganda, you just need to transfer money from your foreign PayPal account to your UBA prepaid card. After you have received an SMS from the UBA bank that the money has been successfully transferred (deposited) to your Prepaid card, you just need to go to the UBA ATM machine and withdraw the money.

It takes just few seconds for money to be transfered from your foreign PayPal account

The normal/fixed transfer fee charged by PayPal for every transaction is $5.

How do I turn my PayPal money into cash?

You can transfer the money in your Paypal balance to your UBA AfriCard and then withdraw the cash at any Visa ATM in Uganda near you.

Will i be charged for Paypal withdrawal???

Like i mentioned earlier, anytime you withdraw from PayPal, you are charged $5. For this reason, it is best to keep your money there until it is substantial. As I said earlier, the account is safe and you will not lose your money if you provided valid information.

How to fund your Foreign PayPal account in Uganda for Online Shopping.

Funding your foreign PayPal account is simply the method or means by which you can add money to your PayPal account to make payment.

If you are not receiving any funds into your PayPal wallet and you still need to use it to make a purchase, you will have to fund it.

Here are 3 ways by which you can fund your PayPal account here in Uganda.

1)  Link a Prepaid card or Debit Card to your PayPal account.

The quickest way to make your PayPal account ready for online shopping, is by linking a card to your PayPal account.  After adding your card to your PayPal account, you will be able to shop online with the funds in your card.

2) Cash Gift gifts (you can request money from loved ones who already have a PayPal account)

If you don’t have a card yet, you can fund your PayPal account by requesting for money from your loved ones abroad who also have a PayPal. All you need to do is send the US dollar equivalent of how much you want to be sent to your PayPal account to your friend and they will send you the funds when you give them your PayPal email.

3) Payment from clients and customers.

If you are an internet marketer working with affiliate programs that issue payment via PayPal, you can simply link your PayPal account to your affiliate account and then transfer your earnings from your affiliate accounts to your PayPal account.

If you are someone who often do freelance work on Fiver, Upwork and other freelance job websites, you can simply link your PayPal account to your Fiverr or Upwork account for your earnings to be transferred to your PayPal account.

If you are a pastor, you can link your PayPal account to your church website and start receiving donations from Christian faithful around the world.

If you own an online shop (Shopify and WooCommerce powered wordpress online shop), you can integrate PayPal account to your online shop and start receiving payments for your products via PayPal.

Ok those are the three ways you can use to get funds in to your foreign PayPal account.

After you have received funds, you can either shop online with the funds in your PayPal account or transfer the funds to your UBA Africard Prepaid Card.
