Car used by Suspected Amba Boys to rob a Credit Union in Bamenda has been found by forces of law & Order

On Friday 21st August 2020, Mitayen Cooperative Credit Union situated in the heart of the city of Bamenda, North West region was robbed in broad daylight by a group of heavily armed men.

In a CCTV camera footage which emerged on the social after the robbery incident, a group of Armed robbers could be heard (in the video) speaking French and ‘broken’ pidgin English and French which got many rumor mongers alleging that the credit union was robbed by Cameroon security forces disguised as Amba fighters.

We just learnt that the jeep used to carry out that armed robbery operation in Bamenda has been recovered by the police.

According popular Anti-Ambazonia activist; Njume Frankline, the jeep used by armed robbers was stolen from the owner, who laid a complaint and search was immediately launched.

Njume added that after the jeep was recovered, the inspector who found the jeep decided to take a selfie with the jeep to proof to the curious Cameroonians that jeep has been found.

As we speak, the police is hunting the amba armed robbers! Let’s pray for good and rapid results said Njume Franklin.




It should noted that this is not the first time that news has emerged on the social media that a group of Amba boys have robbed a banking institution.

In 2018, late Commander Pastor of Ikata, Muyuka, confessed during an interview with Theodore Ngumba (of Cryout Media) that he attempted to rob a credit union in Muyuka but didn’t succeed. He added that he lost two of his boys in the operation.

Today news has Amba boys have robbed a credit union in Bamenda.
