Nigerian Gospel Singer; Mercy Chinwo age 29 receives a car gift on her 29th birth day (Watch Video)
Popular Nigerian Gospel Singer & songwriter; Mercy Chinwo (AKA MM1, as she’s fondly called), turned 29 yrs old on the 5th of September, 2019.
The renowned Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter, got a car gift on her 29th birthday.
Eezee Conceptz; the record label which Mercy Chinwo is currently signed to, gave Minister Mercy Chinwo a brand new Lexus car (as a birthday gift).
The gospel singer, who could not hold back her excitement over the unexpected Lexus car gift from her record label, took to her instagram handle @mercychinwo to express how joyful she was.
Mercy Chinwo wrote on her instagram page…
“What exactly did I do to deserve all the LOVE. What did I do to you people o @eezeeconceptz.
” I apologise I’m sorry I will do it again and again…Thank you for celebrating me.
“Thank you senior @eezeetee1 for setting the pace…@josh2funny @apehharrison @officialchrismorgan thank you And they said the day just began” she wrote.
Mercy Chinwo also released a new song titled “AKAMDINELU,” on her 29th birthday (5th of September, 2019); in which he thanked God for all he has done in her life.
Mercy Nnenda Chinwo age 29 was born on September 5 1990 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria. She is the fourth child in a family of five (first daughter).Mercy Chinwo lost her dad at a very young age.
Mercy Chinwo developed a passion for music and a desire to become a gospel singer since she was a child.
During her childhood, she was a member of the children’s choir in her church and when she became an adult, she moved to the adult choir.
Mercy Chinwo began her music career singing as a back up singer for popular Nigerian gospel music artists such as Sammie Okposo, Joe Praize, Buchi, Chris Morgan, and Preye.
In 2012 Mercy Chinwo came under the spotlight (gained media attention) after she emerged as the winner of the popular Nigeria talent show; Nigerian Idol Season 2.
After winning the Season 2 of popular talent show ‘ Nigerian Idols, Mercy Chinwo dropped her first single titled Testimony in 2015. A year later she dropped her second single titled Igwe.
In 2017, Mercy Chinwo was signed by a Gospel Music record Label called EeZee Conceptz; A record label owned by Mr. Ezekiel ThankGod (AKA Eezee Tee); a renown Nigerian Gospel music guru who also manages popular gospel artists like Frank Edwards, Preye Odede, Judikay and Hilda Dokubo.
Mercy Chinwo major breakthrough came in June, 2018 after she released her first hit single titled Excess Love which gained so much popularity and enable her to get thousands of social media followers worldwide. As of September, 2019, Mercy Chinwo has more than 500,000 followers on Instagram.
The hit song excess love also enabled Mercy Chinwo to win multiple awards.
In 2018, Mercy Chinwo was awarded the Best Gospel Artiste at the CLIMAX Awards 2018.
In 2019, at the maiden edition of the Africa Gospel Awards Festival (AGAFEST 2019) Mercy Chinwo was named winner in three categories namely Africa Gospel New Artist of the Year, Africa Gospel Female Artist of the Year and Africa Gospel Song of the Year for her song “Excess Love” beating the likes of Sinach, Prospa Chimana and Tim Godfrey.
In February, 2018, Mercy Chinwo released her first and only album (as of September, 2019) titled; The Cross my gaze (available on YouTube).
Mercy Chinwo’s debut Album; The cross my gaze contains 15 songs, of which some of her formerly and recently released songs were included, like Omekannaya, Excess love, Igwe, I am, Regular.
Apart from being a gospel music minister, Mercy Chinwo is also a talented actress.
In 2013 (a year after winning the Nigerian Idols Season 2), Mercy Chinwo landed her first film role in Yvonne Nelson’s movie titled House of Gold starring alongside Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel and Omawumi among others.
