Amba Boys destroys a vital road in Akum mile 8- Bamenda set ablaze vehicles and kills one civilian (WATCH VIDEO)
On Saturday night (the 8th of September, 2018), Ambazonia fighters in Bamenda(about 120 in number), blocked a vital motor way at Akum mile 8- Bamenda making it impossible for hundreds of passengers to enter or leave Bamenda.
The Amba Boys went as far as destroying the road at Akum mile 8 to make it impassable to vehicles. An excavator was used to remove or dig off the tar from the main road as seen in the video below.
Several vehicles were set ablaze by the Amba boys, others deflated and some damaged.
After the Cameroon security forces were informed about the atrocities which are being committed by the Amba Boys in Akum, Upstation in Bamenda, they immediately took off to the location.
As soon as the Cameroon security arrived at the crime scene, the trigger happy Amba boys started shooting. The first bullets exchanged between the Cameroon security forces and the Amba Boys struck one passenger and he died on the spot. There’s a high probability that the civilian was shot by the Amba boys owing to the fact that civilians were located behind the Cameroon security forces.No casualty was recorded on both sides.
As usual, after few minutes of battle, the hit-and-run Amba boys took to their heels leaving behind cicatrix which has shocked the Anglophone community. See Photos Above.
Nevertheless, as you read this post, traffic has resume along the Santa and Bamenda road. However vehicles are moving at a very slow pace. It due to the timely intervention of the Cameroon security forces, that the vital motorway wasn,t completely destroyed by the Amba Boys.
The atrocities committed by the Amba Boys at Akum has greatly perverted the Ambazonia struggle and caused many wise Anglophone Cameroonians to ask so many questions pertaining to the objective of the struggle. Some of the pertinent questions include….
WHAT IS THE ANGLOPHONE PROBLEM ???
DOES THE ANGLOPHONE CAMEROONIANS REALLY WANT PRESIDENT BIYA TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS???
It should be noted that one of problems tabled before president Biya as an Anglophone problem is the bad roads in the North West region. Now that the Amba Boys have resorted to destroying roads, the issue has been nullified and we can boldly say that the Anglophone problem is not the main reason why the Ambazonians are requesting for independence. There is an ulterior motive.
