If a picture is worth more than a thousand words, then there’s no better image which attest to this fact, than this image (“presumably” from one the restive anglophone regions of Cameroon), making rounds on the social media.

Over the past few days, a heartbreaking photo which shows a dead body of a guy tied on to bike in an absurd manner (about to be transported to an unknown destination), has agonized so many Cameroonians and prompted many to intensify call, for the government of Cameroon to seek for a lasting solution to the Anglophone crisis using the hash tag #EndAnglophoneCrisis.

According to many, the picture depicts a country where people no longer have any respect for the dead owing to the fact the people have become accustomed to dead bodies as dozens of people are killed on a weekly basis due to the armed conflict in the English speaking region.

The author of the photo;Les Twins Officiel frowned at the fact that Cameroonians no longer have respect for human values, adding that man is now being treated like an object or an animal.

He wrote…

When humanity is no longer valuable!

My God where is the respect of the living not to say dead?

Some will come say the country is good…
Aka even in mbeng people don’t die…
Dido leave this to us…..
Come say this here we see, where does this come here….
We are ruined because we no longer have respect for human values. Man has become an object, rigour an animal.

As a reminder, the separatist conflict in Cameroon has left over 3,000 people dead.
